Baby Rocking
Horse
If you are looking for another way to rock your baby, then a
baby rocking horse is your answer. As opposed to more traditional rocking horses where your
child sits on the horse, with a baby rocking horse, your will child actually sits in the horse. That’s
because these rocking horses have slings that your baby will be cradled in.
The slings are made of various materials, but all are very soft and
comforting to a baby’s tender skin. And to make it more of a parent’s dream come true, the slings are
removable and washable! Some models even have a storage area concealed in the tail section. This is a great
place for keeping an extra pacifier, burp cloth, and small toys.
As your child gets older, there are rocking horses that will take into
account your child’s ability to sit, but that they may still need a bit of support. These rocking horses
offer support in the back and the sides and some come with a safety strap to keep your child extra secure.
Some of these horses you will find are made of wood, in a more traditional rocking horse fashion, while
others are covered with a soft, plush material. These models often feature removable covers that are machine
washable.
When looking for a rocking toy, you need not be confined to just
rocking horses. While rocking horses are the traditional rocking toy, you will find a multitude of different
rocking animal and even rocking vehicles. There are even rocking toys out there that are two toys in one. Not
only are they rocking horses, but they come with wheels that you can flip down as to make your rocking toy a
riding toy!
When looking for a rocking horse or any rocking toy for a baby or
toddler, make sure to purchase one that is built low to the ground, as to ensure safety. They also should
feature a wide base for added stability. Always make sure that there are no parts that a baby or toddler
could pull off and potentially choke on. Even with all the safety features that these toys provide, you
should never leave your baby or toddler alone while they are on any rocking toy.
Which ever model you decide upon for your child, not only will you be
giving them hours of peaceful relaxation with their rocking horse, but you will be giving them a play buddy
for many years to come.
